Journalism training on HIV/AIDS, Vienna

The Journalist to Journalist Project of the National Press Foundation (NPF) is offering 30 fellowships to its four-day training program (14 – 17 July, 2010) on HIV/AIDS in Vienna. This biennial conference brings together scientists, policy-makers and global stakeholders in HIV/AIDS. This training will prepare participants to cover the IAC conference, and will offer specialized sessions to learn practical journalism skills for reporting the HIV/AIDS story. Eligibility
The fellowships will be awarded to qualified print, radio/broadcast, and online journalists with experience covering the social, economic and larger societal impact of HIV/AIDS, as well as the science and medicine. All applicants must have strong English speaking and reading skills. NPF has a special interest in applicants from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

Application procedure
All interested applicants should submit online application form including following documents:
1. a cover letter of 250 words or fewer
2. narrative biography of 200 words or fewer (no CVs will be accepted)
3. a letter of support from a supervisor (limit one page)
4. attach work samples
