Description
The main aim of the Visegrad 4 Eastern Partnership (V4EaP) Flagship Projects is to support the implementation of long-term projects of strategic character focusing on providing access to the Visegrad Group (“V4”) countries’ democratic transformation and integration as well as regional cooperation experience. V4EaP Flagship projects will aim to support the reform processes, political association and economic integration with the EU, strengthen the institutional capacity, civil society building and transformation of the Eastern Partnership (“EaP”) countries.
Proposed projects should deal with some or all of the following objectives:
1. Civil Society
A. Enhancing the sustainability of EaP civil society organizations by capacity building measures and assisting them to link up to international civil networks
B. Strengthening the engagement of civil organizations with the society by initiating socially useful projects
C. Strengthening cooperation between civil organizations and local governments
2. Transfer of V4 experience in promoting the integration process
A. Assisting political association and economic integration into EU
B. Communicating the benefits of EU integration to the society and authorities
C. Institution building for the support of transformation and EU integration
3. Regional cooperation
A. Transferring V4 experience in regional cooperation
B. Strengthening regional cooperation among the EaP countries and between EaP and V4 regions
4. Education Sector
A. Support to networking activities and cooperation between educational institutions
B. Capacity building in educational institutions
5. Culture Sector
A. Capacity building in the sphere of culture, enhancing the role of culture in the transformation process in the EaP countries
B. Facilitating networking in the cultural sphere
C. Support to cultural initiatives
Eligibility
Any legal entity or natural person from EaP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine) and V4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) is eligible for support, provided that the nature of the submitted project fulfills Flagship Projects aims. Preference is given to projects organized by non-profit and non-governmental organizations, public educational, cultural and research institutions and municipalities or local governments.
Projects submitted to the Fund must involve grantees and project partners from all four V4 countries, as well as with at least two EaP countries.
Grants
Budget proposals shall reflect the nature of the proposed project but shall fall within €50,000–€100,000.
Application
The application form shall be filled out in the on-line application system in English. All formal communication with the Fund must be conducted in English. The application form must be submitted both on-line and in a hard-copy version together with all compulsory annexes within 30 September 2013 to the following address:
