FacilitatiONline aims to support youth workers and youth leaders in designing and facilitating effective e-learning platforms, since we believe e-learning is a new and exciting field, which offers a lot of space for creativity, invention and imagination!
Aims
The main aim of the training course is to support youth workers and youth leaders in designing and facilitating effective e-learning platforms.
More specific objectives are:
• To explore learning offline in order to better understand learning online
• To compare the concepts of education offline and online
• To explore the concept of non-formal education as an online tool
• To discover a variety of new and traditional methodologies that work online
• To explore YiA Programme in the context of e-learning
• To develop learning objectives for an e-learning course
• To develop an e-learning module/course in the context of the YiA Programme
Eligibility
This training course is for 26 participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, United Kingdom. Training course is recommended for Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Facilitators, who:
1. have experience in facilitating learning of young people in international educational settings
2. have knowledge of and practice in non-formal education and learning
3. are interested in developing and facilitating online learning for young people
4. are willing to reflect on their practice and work on their competences as facilitators in online settings
5. have basic IT skills and are not afraid of experimenting with computers
6. are committed to applying their newly gained skills in developing online learning courses
Training Phases
The training has three integrated learning phases:
1. Introductory phase (preparation for the course) through distance e-learning, there are 4 online modules to complete starting in October till the beginning of the residential part of the training course
2. Residential training course, from November 13th to 22nd in Novi Pazar, Serbia
3. Follow-up phase through distance e-learning, starting from November 26th to December 23rd.
Costs
This project is funded by the Youth in Action Programme. According to its rules, all costs of board and logging will be covered by the organisers. In addition, DamaD will reimburse 70% of the participants’ travel costs, only upon the receipt of all original tickets, boarding passes and invoices.
