EYP is recruiting an intern to manage its online platform youthmedia.eu. This is a paid internship position for a period of six months. Ideally, the intern would be based in Brussels. The successful applicant will work closely with the EYP office, EYP board and the Youthmedia team.
The intern will be responsible for both the general management of the www.youthmedia.eu platform and the coordination of the EYP/Council of Europe Youth Media Award (running from March 1 – 31 May) through youthmedia.eu.
Responsibilities
* promoting the EYP and Council of Europe Youth Media Award (YMA) on youthmedia.eu
* processing applications for YMA through youthmedia.eu
* communicating and encouraging dialogue about YMA on youthmedia.eu
* general communication with youthmedia users, answering questions and providing information
* moderating new media uploads and comments
* posting news and information – keeping the platfrom up-to-date
* communicating with youthmedia country coordinators and recruiting new country coordinators
Eligibility
* a good community builder
* an exellent communicator
* knowledgeable about social media
* experienced in youth media networks – experience with youthmedia.eu is a definite advantage
* passionate about journalism and media making
