Travel2change is a network of travelers and locals who collaborate to create ideas and actions that benefit communities around the world.
The Travel For Purpose Contest by travel2change is a two-part online promotion that will involve both judging by selected judges and voting by the public to determine the Contest winners.
Travel2change is asking individuals, groups, and nonprofits to share their best ideas. The top-voted submission will be rewarded with $1,000 to go on a travel2change trip to make their idea happen. In order to participate in the Contest, applicants must submit ideas, concepts, images, designs,or other materials which link their passions with the purpose of making good happen through travel.
Eligibility
- Only US-based organizations, groups and individuals are eligible to apply. If you are not from the US, travel2change would still love to hear your idea and – please send it on email hello@travel2change.org.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Submitted projects must be able to be activated with $1,000 within 5 months of receiving the grant.
- In order to vote, log in with your GOOD account. If you don’t have a GOOD account, it’s free to join. All you need is an email address or a Facebook account to register. You will be emailed a link that you need to click in order to validate your address.

The winner of contest will receive the grant of the amount of $1,000.
How to apply?
- Include a photo or video that represents your idea. Photos should be in JPG, PNG, orGIF format, at least 570 × 345 pixels and no larger than 10MB. To include a video, use a YouTube URL.
- Describe where you’d like to go, and how you’d link your passion to creating a positive impact in that community.

Applications MUST:
• be in English;
• describe a project that uses travel to create meaningful change for local communities;
• be capable of being activated with the amount awarded in the Grant;
• be capable of being implemented within 5 months of Grant award;
• provide a level of detail sufficient to show each of the specific activities to be carried out by the Participant and others, if any, necessary to achieve the principal goal(s) of the project.
