The Fetisov Journalism Awards 2024 aims to recognize and promote journalism that upholds universal human values such as honesty, justice, courage, and nobility. This prestigious award celebrates the work of outstanding journalists whose dedicated service and commitment help to change the world for the better. Journalists can submit their work in one of four categories: Outstanding Contribution to Peace, Contribution to Civil Rights, Outstanding Investigative Reporting, and Excellence in Environmental Journalism. Entries should highlight impactful, high-quality journalism that has had a positive effect on political, economic, or social situations in a specific country or globally. The awards emphasize the importance of ethical, fact-based, and unbiased reporting.
Eligibility:
- Open to professional journalists worldwide.
- Applicants can be representatives of media organizations, professional journalism organizations, or freelance journalists.
- Self-nominations are accepted.
- Eligible publications must have been published between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024 in printed media or posted on media websites/outlets.
- Submissions must be in English and adhere to the 20,000-word limit.
Benefits:
- First Prize: 100,000 CHF and a handcrafted silver statuette.
- Second Prize: 20,000 CHF.
- Third Prize: 10,000 CHF.
- The total prize pool for all categories is 520,000 CHF.
