Description
Firefly International offers European Voluntary Service volunteer opportunities for United Kingdom-based artists and musicians to work with Svitac in Brcko, a small town in northeast Bosnia. Svitac is an arts and education non-government organization delivering community-based workshops, events, and summer camps aimed at encouraging dialogue between young people of all ethnicities.
At present, Firefly offers two 12-month placements, one for music, the other for arts and crafts, both starting in March 2015, with recruitment expected December 2014-January 2015.
Eligibility
All applicants must be living in the UK and be aged 18-30, ideal candidates would be motivated and enthusiastic, self starters with:
- either arts and crafts or music skills (can be self taught)
- experience working with young people
- experience running workshops and events

- a modest living allowance of about 150 euros per month for food and other expenses.
