Description
Architecture Student Congress (ASK) is an annual spring gathering of architecture students from the territory of the former Yugoslavia that have been held since 2002. As host of the first meeting of this kind, Ljubljana has started a tradition of scientific and professional meetings that continued until the present day, when the ASK, after nine years, again returned to Sarajevo. The typical structure of one of ASK’s a combination of lectures by local experts with presentations of student delegations from each city on a given topic. In 2014, following the trends in the world of architectural design, and urban morphology of Sarajevo, students will have the opportunity to work on the theme: “Towards urban transformation: Animation of urban ruins”.
Student teams, representatives from each faculty were invited to present their perception of a given topic, along with any local examples, interpret it in the form of a poster, and the same work elaborates on the congress. Also, as part of ASK, is organized and one-day workshop, following the very theme of the congress. Working language is Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.
Eligibility
Students of architecture from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.
Costs
The congress fee is 70 EUR and it covers:
- accommodation and meals;
- participation in the congress;
- publishing of the work in the official publication of the Congress;
- T-shirt;
- printed materials;
- cocktail;
- excursion in the city.
