Description
Peace 2.0 is directed to young people from the civil society that are interested in peace work, engaged to stand up for social changes, have fun in the designing of documentations, texts, internet platform and want to expand and reflect their experiences and knowledge. The main aims of this youth exchange are young people from East and West Europe, from member states of the EU and transformation countries of Southeast Europe to:
– Learn about different ways how Social Media can be used for peace work and can discuss potentials and risks of the Social Media.
– Explore and use together Social Media for the articulation of different alternative voices, positions and perspectives.
– Experience Social Media as a democratic possibility for the participation in group processes
– Learn and understand how and why Social Media functions in other cultural contexts – learn how Social Media can be used for inter-ethnic and inter-cultural understanding
– Document and/or illustrate practically how Social Media function, respectively how Social Media can be used in peace and democracy work and which impacts Social Media have
– Use the contents and skills learned during the youth exchange in their countries of origin and spread them on a personal level the project offers the participants to discover themselves and get involved in a changed surrounding (outside their all day life living conditions) and to develop their skills.
Therefore, it is important to integrate in a group as an individual with its own skills. In the context of the group process the participants can experience themselves and reflect their own experiences.
