Description

The Centre for Intercultural Dialogue in it’s strives to achieve its’ aims in partnerships with other organizations from Europe and beyond offers opportunities for youth leaders and youth workers from Macedonia.

During the training Small Academy for Youth Career Guider, participants will be motivated, educated and encouraged, through joint work, to promote and provide career guidance and counseling (CGC) in their communities. Young participants will become the so called peer career guiders, while experienced career guiders will advance the existing methods and develop new methods for working with youth.

The course will focus, in the context of the key theme and within specific segments, on the following topics: common European values, cultural diversity, education, migrations and mobility of youth, youth with fewer opportunities.

Trainings will be based on methods and techniques of informal learning – workshops, role-playing, discussion, e-learning, work visits, energizers… – which encourage creativity and active participation. Training course will consist of several activity sets: SmallCareerAcademy, team building activities, relaxation and motivation for learning, visit to the City of Niš, cultural activities, creation of posters, NGO fair. Planned activities will encourage capacity-building and innovation among promoters, as well as exchange of experience, expertise and good practice. In addition, the project will motivate participating NGOs to build partnerships and jointly create quality projects for youth.

The training will take place in Paraćin, Serbia from the 4th of May-10th of May 2012.

Costs

There is a small participation fee of 450 MKD. The food and accommodation is provided, and 70% of the travel costs will be reimbursed.

Eligibility

The call is open for young people from Macedonia. Because the official language of the training is English, an English proficiency will be required.
