About the Project
The Unity Express is one single train that will go through 24 countries of Europe to let the passengers experience the beauty of a multicultural society. By creating a mini-society on board, with all kinds of different cultures working together a respect for each others cultures will becreated, making Europe a better place to live!
The Unity Express wants to overcome borders. Political or mental, cultural or religious, the main goal is to get through these mental lines and work towards a more unified Europe. Every stop of the Unity Express will move you in many ways.
Imagine four weeks with 400 different people. From all kinds of nationalities, with the same objective: to discover Europe and learn more about each other. You will experience a diversity of languages, cuisines, habits and traditions on board of the train and in the cities. Together you will manage the supplies, organize activities on board and coordinate the stops.
The Unity Express will bring together more than 400 minds on board the train with many in the 22 major cities where we will stop. All with different stories, knowledge, ideas and visions. This will create an enormous creative potential. It’s a great breeding place to grow any idea. Art projects, a photo collection, writing stories or just to poke your creative spine.
Become a Core Team Member
Currently the following positions are open:
Fundraising / Sponsoring / Partnerships coordinator
The Unity Express needs to raise a lot of money to be possible. People to develop strategies, talk to companies about sponsorships, make partnership deals and get ambassadors on our side for endorsements are needed. Only then can the €1.5m needed for the journey be obtained!
Volunteer coordinator
You will play a central role when it comes to policy within the volunteer organization. You would be someone that takes the role of guiding, supporting and recruiting volunteers. A person that can keep the motivation up and from who the enthusiasm spreads smoothly.
Logistics coordinator
On board the Unity Express a Logistics coordinator that can take care of all that moves in and out of the train; food, inventory, people, special guests, bands and their equipment and of course the luggage of passengers is needed. You should have experience in international logistic challenges and preferably with trains as well.
PR / Marketing / Communications coordinator
People that have knowledge of, or want to learn about, social media and international publicity are also needed. Background in Public Relations, Marketing and Communications is preferred.
Promoters / City Coordinators
The Unity Express doesn’t just provide a train journey, but the opportunity for movement towards a united Europe. Everybody needs to know about the Unity Express. Creative people with skills in one or more of these areas: writing, social media, marketing, graphic design and journalism to spread the word of the project in their own city are welcome to apply.

- Organization members could come over if things need to be signed or discussed. Also if motivation is down you will be helped regain it.
