The German and Austrian National Agencies of the Youth in Action Program are organizing, in collaboration with SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre, a methodological training for (potential) applicants of YiA projects on the subject of Europe.

The aim of the Training Course is to give youth workers tools to work on the dimension of Europe with young people, and to enable them to use methods by which they can make young people attracted to the topic and to raise the quality and quantity of Youth in Action applications with focus on Europe and on European Citizenship.

Objectives:
– raise awareness about the topic and motivate youth workers to deal with it
– enhance participants’ feeling of ownership and belonging to Europe, and discuss what role young people can play in Europe
– share knowledge about the EU and its institutions, generally about Europe and discuss current political and social issues that may concern young people (e.g. mobility, participation and national/European identity)
– let participants learn about different tools and methods, and adapt them to the needs of their target group

This training course is open to youth leaders, youth workers,and project managers from Program Countries and South East Europe.
