Venue: 14 – 16 November 2011, Adelaide, Australia
The School of Management will bring the 12 selected PhD students to Adelaide to participate in a roundtable discussion about their topics. The discussion will be supported by meetings with business leaders, government officials, leading academics from the University of South Australia, and PhD students from the school’s research concentrations. Students will also be given the opportunity to present their essay.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all PhD students from universities all around the world.
Application
Applicants must write an essay (not more than 1,000 words) on one of the relevant topic areas:
* human resource management
* tourism
* event management
* business ethics
* arts and cultural management
* innovation and entrepreneurship
* operations and supply chain management
* strategic management
* sport and recreation management
* strategic procurement
Essays must be submitted by e-mail to Claudine.Soosay@unisa.edu.au in MS Word format with “PhD Essay Competition Entry” in the subject field.
Prize
- return flights to Adelaide from their nearest major airport
- four nights accommodation in a central city apartment in Adelaide
- transfer from Adelaide airport to city accommodation
Please note that successful candidates will have to organise their own visas. The School of Management will provide documentation to support visa applications.
