University of Cyprus

The University of Cyprus (UCY) is a public university based in the Capital of Cyprus, Nicosia. It was the first university to be established in 1989 in Cyprus. University has over 5,000 students enrolled in 73 graduate and 31 undergraduate programmes. The University has six faculties: The Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Letters, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education.

International Life Long Learning Programmes Office

The International Life Long Learning Prgrammes Office is responsible for the coordination of the International Cooperation and International Relations of the University of Cyprus as well for informing the academic community on European programmes. It deals with Bilateral Agreements of Cooperation with Universities and organizations in Cyprus, Europe and the rest of the world and with exchange programmes under the Life Long Learning programme such as Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Grundtvig, Marie Curie, and ERASMUS MUNDUS, inter Mediterranean programmes of cooperation such as MEDA, Euromed, the TEMPUS programme and has the responsibility of disseminating information about Summer Schools to the student community. The University of Cyprus participates in the EU-sponsored LLP/ERASMUS Programmes, which allow the exchange of students and staff with European universities. Exchanges depend upon the mutual recognition of the educational study programmes by the host and sending universities.

ALL incoming students must OFFICIALLY BE NOMINATED by their home institutions to come to the University of Cyprus. Courses in English Language are offered by each department.

At the Language Center of the University of Cyprus you can find language courses in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian and Turkish. More info.
