The School of History, Classics and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh invite applications for the following awards for September 2010 graduate entry. Please note that to be eligible for these awards you must have also submitted an application for study at the University of Edinburgh.
Doctoral Teaching Awards (2 available)
These awards will cover:
* Tuition fees for a maximum of three years’ tuition fees at the Home/EU rate.
* An annual maintenance grant of c.£9,650, for a maximum of three years.
* An annual research allowance of £450, for a maximum of three years.
MSc by Research Awards (4 available)
Applicants for these awards must have a study application in process. Successful applicants are likely to hold a UK first class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field and/or, in the case of PhD applicants, have demonstrated an equivalent level of high academic achievement in a master’s degree in a relevant field.
These awards will cover one year’s tuition fees at the Home/EU rate. Successful non-EU/Overseas applicants will be liable for the difference between the Home/EU and Overseas fee rates. No maintenance grant, research allowance or tutoring experience applies to this form of one-year award.
