The International Hellenic University (IHU) was established by Law No 3391 in October 2005. The International Hellenic University (IHU) is Greece’s first state university where programmes are taught exclusively in English. IHU philosophy is based upon a combination of the following three concepts: Academic Excellence, Practical Relevance, International Outlook. The IHU is based in Thessaloniki, a modern city that has been a crossroads of cultures and civilizations for over 2300 years and provides a multicultural and cosmopolitan environment, where students from all over the world feel comfortable and welcome.

1) The School of Economics & Business Administrationhas been established to provide excellence in Economics and Business Administration offering high quality postgraduate programmes taught exclusively in English. It currently offers the following postgraduate programmes:

2) The School of Humanities has been established to provide excellence in the field of history, archaeology, law and social sciences, offering high quality postgraduate programmes taught exclusively in English. It currently offers the following postgraduate programmes:
– MA in Black Sea Cultural Studies
– MA in Cultural Environment and Archaeology of the Greek World
– MA in Eastern Mediterranean Studies
3) The School of Science of Technology has been established to provide excellence in research and teaching in the field of Science & Technology. The School has prepared high quality postgraduate programmes taught exclusively in English. It currently offers the following postgraduate programmes:
– MSc in Energy Systems, with specialization streams:
- Energy Systems Management
- Renewable Energy
- Sustainable Built Environment
- Energy and Transport
– MSc in Information and Communication Technology Systems, with specialization streams:
- Information Systems Management
- Communication Systems Management

Scholarships
The University offers a number of scholarships for the MSc programmes, covering a significant portion of the programme fees. These scholarships are competitive. Award criteria include the quality of the first degree and proven financial need.
