Description
BUV, the Federation of Entrepreneurs´ Association in Germany, is looking for interns in its offices located in Berlin to start on 1st October 2012.
BUV is a multicultural organization representing more than 3,000 entrepreneurs, which have merged in nearly 20 regional business associations. Additionally, BUV is a founding member of UNITEE, Europe’s largest organisation representing ‘New-European’ entrepreneurs and business professionals at the European level.
General tasks during the traineeship
- Design, organise and realise projects and other events (foci on entrepreneurship, human capital and innovation strategies for SMEs), from the very idea until its actual fulfilment (content, logistics, etc.)
- Produce BUV’s journal and accordingly conduct research (write short abstracts or longer papers on German/EU related topics)
- Public affairs (liaise and maintain relations with regional and local associations)
- Monitoring of EU topics (e.g. agriculture, environment, etc.)
- Management of meetings (prepare them, follow up)
- Office support (for the website, press release, newsletter, protocols, etc.)
Eligibility
Skills required of the trainees
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Outstanding written and oral competences in German and English (a keen interest for journalist and thus used to write articles, newsletters and the likes)
- Knowledge of current EU affairs and issues but also keen interest in international trade (with a focus on Africa and Asia)
- A thorough knowledge of the European decision-making process and more particularly of German politics
- Motivated and quick learner with a good eye to details
- Very good computer and basic web skills (e.g. to update the website)
The internship is remunerated.
