About the contests

THE PHOTO CONTEST

Whether you are a professional or an amateur photographer, send your best photos on the theme “CDM Changing Lives” and help the world learn about the value of the CDM.
The organizers are looking for striking images that showcase CDM projects or their related benefits. Whether it’s a photo highlighting a climate-friendly project or related benefits in health, sanitation, infrastructure development, rural electrification or some other area, we want to see your vision of this remarkable mechanism.
Photos will be judged on originality, technical excellence, artistic merit, and their persuasiveness in telling the story of the CDM on the theme “Changing Lives”. The Wow Factor is also very important, so the organizers are looking for photos able to grab the viewer’s attention and hold it. You can check the rules here.

THE VIDEO CONTEST

From animated shorts to mini-documentaries, organizers will be looking for videos that tell an interesting CDM story, whether it is about the creation of new jobs, the greening of industry, or the development of rural services and infrastructure. The video contest is open to any individuals or groups, professional or amateur.
Judging will be based on originality, composition, technical excellence, artistic merit and effectiveness in addressing the theme and completing the phrase “People should know about this CDM project because?”. The judges also appreciate humour, so you may send  a video that can make them smile.
It’s your chance to let the world know how CDM projects are making a difference and inspire others to do the same. Send us your video. You can check here the contest rules here.

THE PODCAST CONTEST

Under the theme “Changing Lives”, for the first time the organizers are inviting broadcasters, freelancers and amateurs to create a compelling podcast that answers the following question: “How has my community/city/country benefited from the CDM?”
The podcast could be a chat show, an interview or a mini documentary. All you need is a microphone, a recording device and lots of enthusiasm. Check the rules of the contest here.
