We invite everyone who loves film posters as much as films, to take part in a film poster workshop in the framework of FILMINI International Short Film Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The workshop will be led by the guest tutor Jerzy Skakun from the Polish design studio Homework. It will be held from the 12th to 16th of October in Sofia at The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate.
Applicants from Romania, Turkey, Germany and Bulgaria are invited to take part. Arrival and departure dates are October 12th and October 18th. FILMINI Festival and NISI MASA will cover accommodation of all selected participants, as well as 50 % of travel expenses up to 200 euro.
Jerzy Skakun creates Homework studio in 2005. He is the winner of awards at several biennales around the world, and has exhibited his works in Berlin, Paris and London. He has created posters for the screenings of films like “Babel”, “Jeanne d’Arc”, “Casablanca”, “Hair”, as well as the films of Charlie Chaplin and the official poster of Krakow International Film Festival. To take part in the workshop, please send to office@filmini.org before October 4th the following:
– a short CV in English
– up to 3 previous projects of posters
The workshop is free of charge. Every participant should provide for his own equipment (a laptop). The working language is English.
The workshop will finish with an exhibition of the elaborated posters, inaugurated on October 17th.
