Description:

The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) Youth Fellowship Program is a one-year career development initiative that embeds young professionals directly into CIF-financed projects within their home countries. Launched in 2023, the program aims to empower youth by providing hands-on experience in climate finance and action. Fellows will work alongside national teams, contributing to technical expertise, research, project design, and the implementation of climate initiatives. The program focuses on areas such as clean energy, nature-based solutions, climate resilience, and social inclusion. Partnering with six multilateral development banks (MDBs)—African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank Group, and International Finance Corporation—the fellowship offers a unique platform for young leaders to drive impactful climate action.
