The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is offering a Digital Content Internship in Rotterdam, Netherlands. As part of the External Affairs team, the intern will help amplify GCA’s global role in climate change adaptation across digital platforms. Reporting to the Senior Communications Officer, you will manage social media, collaborate on content creation, contribute to internal communications, and support website content updates.
GCA is an international organization focused on accelerating climate adaptation, particularly for vulnerable communities. Founded in 2018, GCA operates from regional offices worldwide, with the main European office based in the world’s largest floating office in Rotterdam. The organization works on policy development, research, and advocacy to promote climate resilience.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must reside in the Netherlands and be authorized to work there.
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in digital media, communications, marketing, or related fields.
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere).
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in diverse environments.
- Experience with animation software (e.g., Powtoon) and familiarity with web content management systems are advantages.
- Proficiency in English is required; French is a plus.
