MY World 360º for Sustainable Development Goals

Since 2018, MY World 360º creators from across the world have produced hundreds of media projects that use immersive storytelling and design to inspire action on the Goals. From dramatic enactments of gender discrimination to public service announcement about food deserts and access to healthy food, MY World 360º participants shine a spotlight on issues most relevant to young people and their communities. Discover some of the highlighted MYWorld 360 stories.

Reducing inequalities, promoting gender equality, protecting life under water, ensuring access to affordable and clean energy… the Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call to action to create a better world. Why are the SDGs important to you and your community? Who are the key people and organisations making these Goals happen in your community? Explore and learn how can you inspire ACTION, and find your story.

The world of immersive storytelling and design is wide open for experimentation and innovation.
Submissions may include (but are not limited to):

– 360º video that immerses viewers in a new experience, point of view, or place
– AR representing impacts of a certain phenomenon on the built or natural world
– VR experiences that allow people to interact with animated surroundings
– Mixed media projects that combine 360º photos, audio, and text annotation
– Volumetric VR using real people and places
– Photogrammetry and 3D modeling that shares natural or cultural artifacts
– Three-dimensional video games and simulations

MY World 360° invites ALL emerging creators (no age restrictions) everywhere to use Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), 360° and other emerging forms of interactive storytelling and design to show the multi-dimensionality of their local communities and creative visions for a better world. Youth and first-time creators are strongly encouraged to apply!

Recognizing the experiential storytelling potential of immersive technologies like virtual reality, Digital Promise Global, the United Nations SDG Action Campaign, and Oculus are inviting emerging creators worldwide to create 360° media as a way to share their perspectives and advance positive action toward the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Educators/adults working with students under 18 are welcome to share their students’ media with us using the form below. Creators 18 years of age or older are welcome to submit it directly.


Share your media with us via the MY World 360° Submission Form to be considered for special screenings at upcoming UN events, and through social media using the hashtags #MYWorld360 and #Act4SDGs.
