#YouthTrail2018: Promoting OSCE Values among Youth

Description

The OSCE Presence in Albania, in co-operation with the Municipality of Tirana and the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), are launching a Call for Applications for the second edition of #YouthTrail2018: Promoting OSCE Values among Youth, to be held from 20 to 24 June 2018 in Tirana, Albania.

The Youth Trail is a learning, exchange and creative week in Tirana for 30 young people from RYCO  contracting parties (Western Balkan 6) [1]. The Youth Trail is part of a series of activities organized by the Presence in Albania to support regional connectivity among young people as a means of promoting peace and security in the region.

Through interactive sessions, simulations and outdoor activities Youth Trail Participants will explore activism, youth engagement, human rights, gender equality, fight against corruption, countering violent extremism. The program combines sessions and outdoor activities.

Eligibility

  • 18 to 24 year-old person from RYCO contracting parties (WB6)[1];
  • an active and engaged member of your community interested in youth regional co-operation;
  • have working knowledge of the English language.

Note:
Gender and geographic balance criteria will be applied in the selection process;
Candidates from smaller communities outside of regional centres and capitals are encouraged to apply.

Costs

Accommodation (shared rooms in a hostel), meals and transport will be provided by the organizers.
Travel to Tirana by bus will be organized from Belgrade, Podgorica, Pristina, Sarajevo and Skopje.
Travel to and from departing cities is the participants’ own responsibility.

How to apply?

The application must be submitted by 20 May 2018, latest at 23:59 Central European Time.
Only selected applicants will be notified, within two weeks from the application deadline.
