Description

The “Young Ambassadors Programme” (YAP) is part of the four-year programme “Addressing Europe’s Unfinished Business” (AEUB) and aims to enable participation of young representatives in the annual Conference held in Caux, Switzerland and further involvement in other activities of the Initiatives of Change (IofC) network.

The YAP is an excellent opportunity to give a voice to young Europeans, passionate about building a common future based on European values. Young Ambassadors will be invited to contribute to and promote a richer understanding of mutual beliefs, values, identity, history and cultures through a collective learning experience during the whole programme. To take part in this experience constitutes a unique occasion to enrich oneself and others ethically and culturally through the sharing of personal experiences. Young Ambassadors will be offered the possibility to learn and exchange knowledge with passionate Europeans in an inspiring place, to bring their testimony back to their countries and work on a change.

Eligibility

Applicants must be aged 18-25 and nationals of a European country plus Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kosovo.

Costs

The YAP scholarship covers:

a) Full Scholarship for conference participation and accommodation (full board for 6 days/6 nights);
b) Your conference registration fee of CHF 50, which you need to pay in advance and will be reimbursed after the successful completion of the conference, when checking out on Sunday 24 July, 2016;
c) Two-way transportation by coach and visit to the Jean Monnet Foundation in Lausanne.

50 full scholarships will be offered to successful applicants selected to represent one of the 50 European countries.

To become an ambassador fill in the application online then send your CV and motivation letter (max. one page) along with a proof of nationality to aeubcommunications@caux.ch until 1 May 2016.
