Description
Incepted in 2010 under the cooperation with Futura Prague and the Triangle Arts Association in Brooklyn, residencies in New York facilitate artist residencies for visual artists from V4 countries in New York City. Applicants are selected on the basis of their previous work, their potential contribution to the residency stay in New York, as well as the potential benefit they can draw from the program. Only a single artist per V4 country is selected annually. The length of each resident project is 3 months in the period of September 1–November 30. The studio is at Triangle Arts Association in Brooklyn, NY.
Eligibility
- Applicants are visual artists from V4 countries;
- Have good knowledge of English both spoken and written;
- Have concluded previous scholarships or residencies operated by the fund (where applicable);
- Are not students (applicants enrolled in BA or MA programs at any university can’t apply);
- Applicants have not received art scholarships in New York in the past (preference).
How much is financial support?
The support is €4,000 per project. The sum shall cover the living and travel costs as well as other costs related to the residency.
