Description

La Guarimba International Film Festival 2016 call for submissions is now open for fiction, animation, documentary, music video and “Calabria in Corto” short films. The La Guarimba festival, which aims to bring cinema back to the people and the people back to the cinema, reaches its fourth edition and will take place from 7th to 11th August 2016 in Amantea (CS), in Calabria, Southern Italy.

Eligibility

  • Fiction, Animation, Documentary and Music Videos;
  • All short films of any nationality and language can participate;
  • All themes are allowed;
  • The maximum length will be 30 minutes (including credits);
  • Only those films produced after January 1st of 2014 will be accepted;
  • All formats will be accepted;
  • There are no limits to the number of entries a filmmaker may enter, but these have to be submitted separately.

Awards

A total of EUR 3,300 and trophies will be awarded in 2016. The best fiction, animation, documentary films will each be awarded with EUR 1,000. All films selected for the Festival competition program will be screened during the La Guarimba 2016.

How to apply?

The requested materials are:

  • The short film (in a downloadable link protected by password or by post in DVD);
  • Proof of the fee payment;
  • Submission Form filled;
  • The participants can send the screener with the documentation via Dropbox or WeTransfer to info@laguarimba.com;
  • The submission fee is EUR 10 for short films and EUR 5  for music videos.
