GAPA – the Global Arts and Politics Alliance – brings together a unique mix of media artists and individuals involved in the domain of political science. It is the goal of GAPA to unite these two groups in an environment of exchange and creation, to foster political knowledge and critical thinking, as well as “art activism”. On the one hand GAPA has people active in the domain of political science, and on the other hand GAPA has all sorts of artists, cartoonists, film-makers, graffiti artists, animators, anything you can think of. The main goal is to create a network of political artists and knowledge contributors where these two groups can exchange ideas, collaborate on art or academic projects, and find friends.
GAPA is hereby opening its calls for application for the first – ever GAPA Executive Committee! Six posts are open in the 2015/2016 GAPA Executive Committee, which consists of eight people:
- Secretary General;
- Head of Public Relations and International Cooperation;
- Head of Events;
- Head of Working Groups;
- Head of IT& Communications.
The jobs advertised are voluntary, and will require time investment, motivation and a pro-active approach. Generously speaking, you will be spending about 5–7 hours a week on it once it gets busy and things start rolling, 2-4 hours when it’s just routine maintenance. The positions are open-ended at this point.
GAPA accepts applications from everyone regardless of occupation, status or orientation, and particularly encourage applications from women and minorities to make our team as diverse and broad as possible.
Self-empowerment, networking, improving skills in the area you are interested in.
How to apply?
To apply, send a one-page motivation letter as well as a CV to firstname.lastname@example.org. Put the position you’re applying for into the subject-line. GAPA will contact you as soon as possible.
