Description

„Journalisten International“ offers a three-month study and work residence, which consists of a six-week academic course at the International Center for Journalism, followed by a one-week information-tour within Germany, and finally a six-week internship at a TV or radio station, online or newspaper editorial office, press or PR agency.

“Journalists International” allow students of journalism and German studies a three-month study and internship stay at the International Federation of Journalists at Free University of Berlin. The period of the program is from July to September 2016.

Eligibility

The target group of “Journalisten International” is coming from Belarus, Russia and the Ukraine as well as from other successor states of the former Soviet Union, from Central Asia and the Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan).

Applicant must be in the 1st or 2nd year of the Master’s program or in the last year of the diploma program (“diploma specialista”).

Eligible to apply are journalists who have an academic degree, journalistic experience and good German language skills. Applicants should not be older than 35 years and must have journalism or media experiences. Because the program is conducted in German, very good German language skills are required.

 

Fellowship

„Journalisten International“ awards up to 20 scholarships for the duration of the program in the amount of EUR 750 per month. Additionally, participants receive a grant to cover their travel expenses, and accommodation in student residence halls is also provided.
