Video Contest by The European Endowment for Democracy

The European Endowment for Democracy (EED) invites you to submit a video, which creatively responds to the question: “What does Democracy mean to me?” through any video produced by any means. Animation, documentary, drama or experimental styles are all welcome.


All aspiring filmmakers (non-professional or professional) from around the world.


  • “Grand Vision” award – EUR 3,000;
  • Runner-up – EUR 1,000;
  • Audience Award – EUR 1,000;
  • Five “Special Vision” awards of EUR 500 each.

How to apply?

To apply you have to upload your video. Video should meet following features:

  • up to 60 seconds – no more;
  • video file types: .mp4, .mov, .wmv, .flv .
