Kosovo 2.0 is increasing its coverage from all around the Western Balkans. Fresh faces from Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro are needed to become brand new Western Balkans Correspondents. This is an exciting opportunity for any reporters who want to be on the cutting-edge of progressive journalism in the region.
The publication of Kosovo 2.0 is in its fifth year online and recently have been completed the eighth edition of print magazine. With continued success, Kosovo 2.0 is ready to grow correspondents to offer the audience even more bold and captivating content from the Western Balkans. The task of correspondents will be to produce, one in-depth, feature length article from Albania, Macedonia or Montenegro each month regarding politics, culture, society, current events and more. Other tasks are coordination with Prishtina-based editorial team for assignments, guidelines and deadlines and cooperation with the editorial team during the publication process.
Eligibility
There are six positions for Western Balkans Correspondents (2 x Albanian, 2 x Macedonian, 2 x Montenegrin). Applicants must have a strong sense of language and be able to write concisely, accurately and compellingly in English. An educational or professional grounding in journalism, communications or politics will be definitely advantage from other applicants. Applicants should be friendly, professional and self-motivating. It is expected that applicants will be an excellent communicator to stay in touch with the editorial team. Part of correspondents’ responsibilities will be tracking down and pursuing ideas for stories; so applicants should be the kind of person that relishes that level of professional independence.
