Description

From crisis and austerity to the politization of media, attacks against migrants and refugees, the rise of xenophobic politics and push-back on the social dimensions of freedom of movement – citizenship and fundamental rights are facing strong challenges in Europe. From these challenges however, activists, artists, tech-developers and citizen groups have worked cooperatively to build innovative tools and practices to further the protection of the rights of all people living in the European space. In this context,  European Alternatives (EA) is opening a programme what will aim to share the experiences of these successes, and to build a stronger transnational voice for rights protection. The programme will be a space for us to develop our skills and experience and to network with others looking to better protect the rights of people living in the European space. The focus of each session will be on innovative and developing practices and creative ways to use commonly used tools. The 6 sessions programme lasts from June 2015- January 2016.
