The Maypole Fund Grants for Women

Deadline: 31 January 2015
Open to: women worldwide
Grant: up to £750

Description

The Maypole Fund is a non-profit association founded in 1986 by women involved in the peace movement, especially with Greenham Common. Their aim is to resource imaginative, non-violent activities by individual women and women’s groups for the furtherance of peace with justice and environmental safety.

Grants from the Maypole Fund have contributed to a wide range of activities. So far, Maypole money has helped with printing leaflets, mounting exhibitions and making videos. They have financially helped women to set up and take part in conferences, workshops and other events as well as enable groups to buy equipment to resource their projects.

Eligibility

The Maypole Fund welcome applications from women for projects and activities that meet the following aims of the association:

  • Peace initiatives, disarmament and action against the arms trade;
  • Anti-militarism and action against male violence;
  • Nuclear issues;
  • Environmental issues;
  • The promotion of women’s social and political autonomy throughout the world;
  • International, national and/or regional networking between women for the above purposes.
