Description

The Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is Europe’s most cosmopolitan technical university. It receives students, professors and staff from over 120 nationalities. With both a Swiss and international calling, it is therefore guided by a constant wish to open up; its missions of teaching, research and partnership impact various circles: universities and engineering schools, developing and emerging countries, secondary schools and gymnasiums, industry and economy, political circles and the general public.

The EPFL Postdoctoral Fellowship program will fund 12 fellowships of a maximum duration of 24 months each call. EPFL Fellow fellowships can only be carried out in Switzerland, at the EPFL campus in Lausanne, Neuchâtel, Valais or Fribourg. EPFL Fellows fellowships may be held in any scientific discipline within the EPFL.

Eligibility

  1. Applicants must have a PhD degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience;
  2. Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Switzerland for more than 12 months in the three years immediately prior to their application;
  3. A maximum of five years can be passed after completing PhD;
  4. Applicants must have arranged a research plan with a host laboratory at the EPFL in advance.

There are no restrictions concerning the age, gender or nationality of the candidates.

Fellowship

The EPFL Fellows fellowship consists of a salary for two years. The first year salary for postdoctoral level is CHF 81,400 (about EUR 67,000).
