Description
Camp GLOW is a multi-ethnic summer camp for high school girls who show strong interest in leadership and excel in English language. Founded by Peace Corps Volunteers in Macedonia in 2000, the eight-day leadership camp (2 August – 9 August) seeks to develop leadership and communication potential found in young girls in Macedonia by providing them with skills and knowledge to become active leaders in their communities.
The camp promotes language literacy, leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and creativity. The activities are tailored to promote these qualities through artistic expression, volunteering, health, women studies, in-dept understanding of civil society, and environmental awareness. Besides this extensive knowledge, the camp’s experience is also valuable for making new friendships from across the country. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet the U.S Ambassador in Macedonia.

Camp GLOW accepts applications from female high school students all over Macedonia with a special focus on girls coming from smaller communities in Macedonia.
