Description
Wedding proposal videos are requested from people overseas to win a trip to Taiwan’s scenic north coast! This activity takes a creative and topical approach to promoting internationally the cultural and scenic enticements of Taiwan’s North Coast. They are inviting couples from around the world to send video clips of their creative wedding proposals with the chance to earn a memorable trip for two to Taiwan and help promote Taiwan’s North Coast as the premier place for wedding photography in Asia and a great international honeymoon destination.
Taiwan’s North Coast, with its distinctive culture and rugged seascape fringed by lush green mountains has consistently been a hot draw for domestic and international tourism. This year’s 2013 “love in silhouette” theme is set to promote the North Coast’s distinctive romantic charms through Internet and Youtube promotional campaigns.
They are inviting newlywed and romantic couples from overseas (at least one) must be a non-ROC (Taiwan) citizen) to submit a creative video clip of their marriage proposal along with an application form for a chance at an invitation to the North Coast Lovers’ Challenge.
Prizes
The sponsor is looking to select the 3 best couple entries to win a 5-day / 4-night backpacker travel excursion to beautiful Taiwan. The prize will cover international airfare, meals & accommodations, and a full-day professional wedding photo shoot (monetary value of each prize: approx. US$5,000).
The three winning couples will embark on a 5-day / 4-night North Coast Lovers’ Challenge, with the most creative couple crowned champion and awarded a special Blessings for Happiness gift at the “wedding banquet” finale.
Note: the North Coast Lovers’ Challenge is scheduled to take place between November 4th and 8th, 2013. Applicants must confirm on their application form that they are willing and able to come to Taiwan during this time period in order to ensure all 3 winning couples attend the challenge.
Eligibility
Any newlywed or romantic couple, one of who is a non-ROC (Taiwan) citizen, is eligible to apply and participate.
Application
The deadline for application is 30 September 2013. Overseas newlyweds and romantic couples are invited to download the official activity application form HERE. Next, upload a clip of your creative marriage proposal to Youtube. The clip must include both of you on camera and be 1~3 minutes in length.
Fill out the application form in full and e-mail it to: trust806@gmail.com to complete the application process. You will receive an e-mail from the review committee confirming receipt.
The application requires that applicants describe in sufficient detail how they intend to use the US$5,000 award to create their own 5-day / 4-night North Coast Lovers’ Challenge itinerary.
The sponsor will convene an appropriate selection committee to review applications and select winners in an open and fair manner. A selection committee meeting will be convened at an appropriate time, with an announcement of winners on the official activity website tentatively scheduled for mid-October. Winning couples will be notified by e-mail. Applicants not chosen will not be otherwise notified.
Selection Criteria will be based on the creativity of video clip: 40%; emotive quality of video clip (20%); overall video clip aesthetics (20%); completeness of application (20%). Additional consideration (points) given for high Youtube hit rates.
