Description

The European Youth Parliament is inviting participants for the Germany’s winter highlight, the last part of the series “Young Energy for Europe” i.e The International Forum in the beautiful city of Essen, famous for its industrial relevance in the coal and mining industry in the Ruhr-area. The forum will take place from December 3 – 8. It will gather 110 delegates and a total of 150 participants from all over Europe. 

International Editors, Video-Editors, Journalists, Vice-Presidents and Chairpersons are invited to apply for EYP International Forum. The programme will entail team-building, committee work and General Assembly as well as an EnergyNexus which is an advanced discussion format giving space to both renowned experts and the delegates from the twin-sessions in Istanbul and The Hague that already worked on the session topics before.

The session will be presided by Zahra Runderkamp (NL) and head-organised by Sebastian “Schnue” Rieger. All officials are asked to arrive one day prior to the session (Dec 2) to take part in the officials’ team-building, training and welcome activities.

Eligibility

The call is open to officialsVice-Presidents, Chairpersons, Editors, Video-Editors and Journalists from any member country of the Council of Europe: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.     

It’s good that the candidates have gained some experience in the European Youth Parliament so far, or even in other parliamentary simulations with a similar working structures, yet this experience is not mandatory, as all candidates will be considered in the selection process. Please, also note that the work of the journalists will be mainly within the session, creating the issues of the session internal newspaper, creating a session video etc.

Costs

There will be no participation fee for officials (chairs and journalists) and all costs: accommodation, regular meals, transports will be covered.  As well, the organizers potentially are to offer a travel reimbursement of 50€ for all officials.
