INET & CIGI Call for Proposals on Economic Issues

Description

Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) and The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) seek to create an environment nourished by open discourse and to empower the next generation of scholars with the necessary support to accelerate and advance new and important thinking on economic issues. Accordingly, the organizers plan to award grants ranging in value from $25,000 – $250,000 in this fifth round of grants. Grants will be awarded primarily to individuals or teams affiliated with academic institutions, think tanks, and other centers of vital research worldwide.

Eligibility

The Call is open to:

  • Scholars in economics as well as in related fields such as history, sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science and the physical sciences.
  • Individuals or teams affiliated with academic institutions, think tanks, and other centers of vital research worldwide.

Grants

In this round  grants ranging in value from $25,000 – $250,000 are availble. The organizers’ efforts are focused on supporting new economic thinking, in all the forms it may take. Organizers are less interested in pure policy applications, institution building, and general program support.

How to apply?

Applications should include:

  • a proposal no longer than four pages in length
  • a one-page summary
  • a budget

Applicants also will be asked to provide a short bio and a CV along with other basic information.
