Description
Are you ready to explore Balkan and Baltic youth work? Are you ready to establish cooperation between the two regions and put your ideas into youth exchange project? This event will help you to make one step towards it.
From 12-18 March 2013, a study visit and project development activity in Bosnia and Herzegovina between South East Europe countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYRO Macedonia, Kosovo – under UNSC Resolution 1244/1999, Montenegro, Serbia) and Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) is giving you a great possibility to explore the local realities of two regions*.
The program of the activity offers you time to visit several different organisations to better understand youth work in local level and establish further cooperation; and space for developing concrete project ideas between the two areas. The aim of this project is to establish sustainable partnerships between the South East European and Baltic regions in order to develop Youth in Action projects.
Costs
The board and lodging during the training course for all participants will be provided by organisers; Travel costs of participants will be paid by relevant National Agency or SALTO SEE Resourse Centre on its own principles.
Objectives
- To explore the youth work realities in Bosnia and Herzogovina and discover the similarities and difference of youth work with other participating countries
- To explore quality aspects within youth exchanges under the Youth in Action 3.1 sub-action: cooperation with EU neighbouring countries
- To develop youth exchange project ideas and concrete action plans for further its implementation
This training is organized by the Estonian National Agency for Youth in Action programme, with assistance of the Latvian and Lithuanian National Agencies for Youth in Action programme and the SALTO SEE Resource Centre.
*This call for participants is part of the project consisting of two activities. The first of two study visits is taking place in Bosnia and Herzegovina in March 2013 and the second one in Latvia and Estonia in June 2013. The call for the second activity will be published in March 2013.

Eligibility
This study visit and project development activity is for 25 participants from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Southeast Europe. It is intended for youth workers and youth leaders who are motivated and have the support from their organisation to develop youth exchanges within YiA programme between the two regions.
Applicants should:
- be interested in sharing their professional experiences and motivated to explore the local realities of youth work in both regions.
- preferably have prior experience in international youth work
- be more than 18 years old
- be able to actively communicate in English
Application

This is a co-operation project between different National Agencies (NAs) and a SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centre (SALTO). Before you apply you should check with the NA of your residence country if it is involved in this particular project and would be ready to support any candidate (incl. to cover travel costs of selected participant(s) from your country). The NA of your country will pre-select the applicants from your country; the hosting NA will fine-tune the list of participants and inform all applicants about the selection result. SALTO and/or the host NA select the applicants from countries other than Programme Countries.
