International summer school “Tantamount in Diversity”

Description

The International Summer School “Tantamount in Diversity” is unique IVF project which is managed and coordinated by the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.

The project is dedicated to doctoral students focusing on internal, external and mutual relations of the V4 countries. The main objective of the Summer School is to combine theoretical and practical knowledge, research experience and scientific results of PhD. students in various fields of proposed project topics. The outcome of the project will be a collective monograph. Moreover, project opens new opportunities for possible future cooperation with the project partners of the organizers.

How it will be organized?

The International Summer School will be organized into thematic panels followed by simulations, discussions and role plays. Doctoral students can actively participate, show and share their scientific knowledge in a chosen topic through three main panels. Each panel will be opened by experienced Slovak academics and experts. Interactive discussions on selected topics will be held on the very same day in the afternoon. The Summer school will be organized in English.  In order to support the practical side of the project, organizers have scheduled simulations/practical sessions concerning EU issues in the context of V4 countries. Besides scientific exchange organizers as well are planning to prepare cultural and social evening program.

Eligibility

Candidates are to check the requirements here. There is a registration fee of 40 EUR. The registration can be paid by 15/7/2012. It covers:

  • Conference fee
  • Summer school proceedings on a CD including the full text of all articles
  • Accommodation  – 4 nights
  • Refreshments during coffee breaks
  • 3x lunch
  • Closing reception
  • Cultural and social program

  1. There is no such thing as Holland! The state Holland, part of the Netherlands, was split in two at the very end of the 18th century.(Cameron is not PM of England eteihr, is he? Just as people from Northern-Ireland are most certainly not English.)That aside, I do think that before we should not conclude that this is a funny joke until it is accepted by all national parliaments. Only then can we be sure the sovereignty of our great nations will not be endangered by those reckless eurocrats!Hand the proposal to the Council of Ministers, they’ll know what to do with it.
