Social entrepreneurship, social impact, changing lives and many similar topics never miss to include the name of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus. Being dedicated to such topics, C:F community together with Out of the Box and Research and Arts Zone at University of Maribor brings you another world-wide change maker to your door.
“..things are never as complicated as they seem. It is only our arrogance that prompts us to find unnecessarily complicated answers to simple problems.”
The person who said these words is ready to hear your simple answers and your MICRO steps! With Youth4Youth Competition you showed what youth worldwide can do for under-privileged youth. And you showed a lot! Now, it is time to tell your story of social change in less than 2 minutes. Muhammad Yunus, one of the most-renowned social change-makers, will hear it!
Shoot a 118-sec-video with your story of how your micro steps brought social change in your environment. Your stories may range from small acts of kindness to projects that changed the whole society. The best video message will be presented to Muhammad Yunus and numerous world thinkers at the special session of the prominent conference Out of The Box + the winner will have the possibility to attend the conference for FREE!
Your Task
- Start your video with who you are, from where you are and then what is your story to Muhammad Yunus
- Keep in mind the number 118-sec when you record your message (or what is so called elevator speech). All longer videos will be excluded.
- Stick to the topic of the competition!
- Use your mobile, camera, any other recording device, but try to have good sound quality, so that you could be heard well
- The quality of the video is not important, what is important is your message
- Avoid offensive or negative statements! Your message should inspire others and give the positive approach of youth worldwide!
Prizes
TOP 10 finalist videos will be given to Mr. Muhammad Yunus on CD, together with special declaration from Challenge:Future that will include one message from each finalist.
The first winning solution chosen by expert judges will be presented on May 16th 2012 in front of Muhammad Yunus, esteemed speakers and conference participants at the special session of prominent conference Out of The Box with many world thinkers who shall dedicate four days to discuss innovative ways to improve culture of living. The winner will be invited to take part in the conference for FREE!
Travel and visa costs should be covered and arranged solely by the winner. C:F will not assist in any of these costs or procedures.
Eligiblity
This contest is available to all registered members of Challenge:Future between the age of 18 to 30. Associates, employees and partners of Challenge:Future and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies collectively, (the “C:F Entities”) and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible to participate. This Contest is governed by the law of Slovenia.

Judging and Evaluation
1. C:F community will vote for your presentation with “thumbs up” from 01 May 2012 – 11 May 2012 and will be able to post comments.
Bonus possibility:
Reach C:F new Google+ page, share the link to your video there and tag @Challenge:Future! Every +1 you get for your link will be counted as 2 community votes!
2. Youth Judges and community will select 10 Finalists, top 3 by community votes/Google+ and 7 chosen by the Youth Judges.
3. Expert Judging Panel will select 1winner among 10 Finalists. The judging panel will include members of Challenge:Future Advisory Board and honorary members of the Out of the Box Conference. The Judges will be particularly looking for the following:
- Motivation and inspiration of the speech – well thought and brought speech, that inspires the community to do a change
- Impact of your story – what was the outcome of your idea, which group of people was helped, how much did the team engage.
- Reference to the mission and values shared by Challenge:Future globally
