Description
- Supporting the overall coordination of the revamp of the European Youth Portal and Eurodesk’s tasks in the process in close cooperation with the European Commission
- Providing assistance, training and guidance to Eurodesk partners regarding the network’s task towards the European Youth Portal
- Researching and updating information and coordinating regular content provision to the European Youth Portal
- Supporting the development of online communities of active users
- Contributing to further developing an integrated communication strategy for Eurodesk
- Planning and implementing dedicated communication activities with a strong focus on enhancing Eurodesk’s online communication
- Participating in network activities and stakeholder meetings (with occasional travel)
- Supporting other aspects of Eurodesk Brussels Link’s daily work as required
Eligibility
The position is open to individuals with:
- University degree and some years of relevant experience (1-3yrs), or secondary education with extensive experience
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, project management skills
- High level of creativity and the strategic ability to devise and implement innovative communication tools that actively engage users
- Thorough understanding of technical aspects of web and digital communications functionality, and proficiency in content management systems, e.g. Drupal
- Experience of working in information management field is an asset
- Knowledge of the European Policy area, European Youth policy and European programmes for young people
- Some experience with photo/graphic design software
- Very good command of English and working knowledge of at least one other official EU language
Remuneration
This is a full-time position based in Brussels. The successful candidate will be offered a 6-month contract (maternity leave cover) with the option of prolongation subject to further funding from the European Commission.
