The first semester is dedicated to providing all candidates with a common platform in advanced spectroscopic methods, including magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, optical spectroscopy and diffraction techniques. In the second and third semesters, more specialised instruction is provided with applications in molecular synthesis, biology, nanotechnology, modelling, “green chemistry”, medicine, and new energy sources. The Master‘s thesis will be strongly encouraged to be based on a collaborative project between two of the partner institutions, thus adding an even more challenging European dimension to the programme.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry or equivalent education in the field of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry and Physics

All applications are assessed by a centralized consortium commission. A weighting scheme is applied to the following selection criteria, assessed from 1 (minimum) to 5 (maximum), thus producing a weighted arithmetic mean:

  • academic records of previous studies(coefficient 6, threshold 4),
  • scientific background of undergraduate studies (coefficient 4, threshold 3),
  • ranking of Academic Institution where undergraduate studies were done (coefficient 2, threshold 2),
  • motivation letter (coefficient 2, threshold 3),
  • recommendation letters (coefficient 2, threshold 3),
  • mastering of foreign language (coefficient 2, threshold 2),
  • acquired practical experience (coefficient 1, threshold 2),
