Vocational Training: “NatuRegio Floodplains“

Open to: employees of  institutions working in nature conservation and/or regional development from Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine.
Stipend: 2,500 € per person, for the 4 months

NatuRegio_floodplains is a vocational training program for young experts in the field of nature conservation and regional development linked with the implementation of small projects in the Danube catchment area.

The project aims at enhancing sustainable nature conservation and regional development strategies in floodplains and wetlands along the Danube, encouraging cross-border collaboration and establishing a network of experts in the countries involved.

The trainees will pass a vocational training program in Germany for 5 weeks and a 5 days “cross border workshop”. They will develop projects for their home countries which will be implemented during the project period by the trainees, supported by the international project team.

Eligibility

– current area of work: field of nature conservation and regional development within the field of Floodplains/Wetlands/Aquatic Ecosystem/Protected Areas Management in the Danube River Basin
–  employed by an institution working in nature conservation and/or regional development
– have a professional experience of 2 years at least, and they should not be older than 40 years
– from: Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine

Stipend

Special project grants are available depending on the number of participating trainees (2,500 € per person).
