The intercultural trainings offered by the French organization Union Peuple et Culture (Paris) and his German partner Interkulturelles Netzwerk e.V. (Berlin) designed to give personal, social and professional skills to young people and workers in the youth work field, who want to discover other cultures and to build international exchanges projects.

Through exchanges, intercultural learning is promoted in order to gain pedagogical resources and to encourage mobility.
The training is supported by the French-German Youth Office .

Target Group

The training is aimed at young adults – students, youth leaders, social workers, teachers, people involved in NGOs or in the field of youth work, who are interested in intercultural work and who want to organize international exchanges.

General Aims

▸ To promote dialogue between young people in order to get to know better different cultural identities and to encourage an awareness of European citizenship

▸ To increase the participation and engagement of young people in civil society in order to build and sustain democracy

▸ To encourage to experience of intercultural learning in an individual and professional way

Basic Training for Youth Leaders of Intercultural Exchanges

This training aims to teach the pedagogy of exchange , that is to say to encourage the meeting of individuals and cultures, the experience of the intercultural exchange, to build intercultural teams and to work on intercultural projects. These sessions aim to give skills for the planning, development and evaluation of international youth exchanges.

Training on Specific Socio-political and Intercultural Topics

Socio-political and cultural topics are developed with the use of pedagogical methods in order to better understand differing cultural points of view, norms and values.
The training includes visits to European institutions, NGOs, as well as meetings with representatives of civil society, lecturers, politics and experts. The focus is particularly on the context in the Balkan region, and its integration process with the European Union.

➜ Participant Requirements

▸ To be over 18.
▸ To have health insurance (it is recommended to have the European Health Insurance Card when going abroad).
▸ To speak English, German or French is desirable, but not necessary.
▸ To have a valid ID card or passport (for some destinations the passport is compulsory).
