Deadline: 10 May 2011
Open to: international candidates not residing in Italy, Spain or Brazil aged between 18 and 28 years
Scholarships: 36 scholarships in the form of 50% and 100% of tuition fee

Istituto Europeo di Design – IED – and its locations of IED Rome, IED Milan, IED Turin, IED Venice, IED Barcelona, IED Madrid, IED Cagliari, IED São Paulo is announcing the contest for 36 scholarships for attendance of undergraduate programs for the 2011-2012 academic year, covering different amounts of the tuition fees of the program of choice.

Description of the Theme: My Creative Energy

IED calls young creatives to develop ideas and projects inspired by ‘your creative energy’: everything that you like so much that it pushes you to create, that you feel like your strong creative force, that you always have in front of your eyes when you think about doing something new. It can be related to anything you dream about and you believe can make this world better; it can be linked to the traditional meaning of energy, to the usage of sun, water, wind or any other renewable sources of energy, or to sustainable and eco-design, to recycling and reusing in new productions, to self-production.
It can also represent your main source of inspiration, the metaphorical energy that feeds your creativity.
A person, an object, a location, a historical period: all these things can correspond to your creative energy or be described as such in your project; you can be inspired by an already existing element, or create a completely new one, and identify it with ‘your creative energy’.
A successful singer, a rockband in the history of music, an artist, an actress or actor, a stylist, a designer, a model, a public or historical name; an object or a space created by a famous designer, or a piece of furniture which it is special for you and for your family; a style, a fashion collection that has always been in your dreams; a place that you visited or where you would like to live; an key historical event or a period of time with a great value for you: all these can be examples of ‘your creative energy’, and should be the focus of your project.

    1. Hi, Anastasija,

you have two options: 1. either you urge your school to issue as soon as possible

      2. write to scholarships@ied.edu and ask them to grant you an exception that would allow you to send the high school diploma a bit earlier.

Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

      Kind regards,

      Kristina,

  1. Hi,

I am 22 year's old, I'm from Serbia and I would like to apply for master in graphic design or brand design (I have BA in graphic and web design). I was wondering are you working with Erasmus Mundus? Is it possible to get their scholarship?

    1. Dear Lea,

We are not working with Erasmus Mundus. Mladiinfo is just a webpage where you can find information about various education/job opportunities. If you are interested in the Erasmus programs go to their webpage (http://eacea.ec.europa.eu/erasmus_mundus/results_compendia/selected_projects_action_1_master_courses_en.php) and check if they have any courses in the field you are interested in. If they do, and if you meet the eligibility criteria, you should have a chance to get the scholarship.

      Kind regards,
      Dijana
