Nico Colchester Journalism Fellowship 2011

Fellowship: 2 fellowships of £5,000 each to cover accommodation and travel

The fellowship was established in memory of Nico Colchester, who died in 1996, after an outstanding career at the Financial Times, The Economist and The Economist Intelligence Unit.

Eligibility
European journalist or would-be journalist

Application
Send in a 1,000 word article on the subject: Will the Euro survive?, in English, together with a CV and covering letter, to the e-mail ncprize@economist.com.

Fellowship

Two awards of £5,000 each are available:one for a British or Irish applicant, will consist of a fellowship in continental Europe at the Financial Times; the other, for an applicant from elsewhere in the European Union, will be in London at The Economist.
This amount will cover accommodation and travel.
