Istanbul Technical University is one of the most prominent educational institutions in Turkey, located in Istanbul. ITU Turkey was established in 1773 by Sultan Mustafa III as the “Imperial Naval Engineers’ School” and is the world’s third oldest technical university dedicated to engineering as well as social sciences recently. The university hosts around 22,280 undergraduate and postgraduate students; among them a large number of international students.

You would be considered to be an exchange student if a bilateral agreement of exchange exists between your home institution and ITU. All exchange students who wish to spend a semester or an academic year at ITU must contact their international office or study abroad programs and fill out the application form and send it to:

Prospective undergraduate students should apply to ITU Student Admission Office. Prospective undergraduate students must submit their completed application package, along with the application fee, by the deadline specified for each academic year.
