Youth Action for Change (YAC) is an innovative international youth run organization which equips young people with knowledge and skills that enable them to directly get involved in improving their communities. With a mission of “Education in Action”, YAC offers free, online, youth-led educational courses and opportunities in a vast array of subjects providing young people with the knowledge & tools they need to make change happen, supporting and empowering them to realize their vision of a fairer, safer and more equitable world.

The course  aims to help its participants learn about democracy and how young people can become involved in democratic processes at all levels, how young people can be empowered by the systems created by democracy and how young people can ensure that they are not marginalized. Topics including leadership and youth organizations will also be covered. Participants will be encouraged to design practical projects relating to the course themes following the lessons.

Eligibility
– young people aged 18-30
– actively involved in making a difference in their communities

The course  will be restricted to 25 participants chosen by application – preference is given to participants who are active in their communities and who intend to use the course material to help them make a difference in their communities. Participants must be able to attend all sessions of the course and complete homework tasks in order to obtain a certificate of completion. Participants must also have regular internet access (at least 5 hours per week) to join course sessions. Students who may also be disadvantaged are also encouraged to apply.
