The Akademie Schloss Solitude is a foundation under public law based in Stuttgart. With its international fellowship program it promotes young artists from the disciplines of architecture, visual arts, performing arts, design, literature, music/sound, and video/film/new media. Since 1990 hundreds of fellows from more than 90 countries have used the Akademie to realize and develop their own works and projects. The Akademie Schloss Solitude is internationally considered one of the most important and innovative fellowship programs for young artists.
To support its team of twelve staff members, the Akademie regularly offers internships to students. The aim of the internships is to learn mechanisms and techniques needed while working in cultural organizations and institutions.The Akademie Schloss Solitude has regularly internship positions to offer. Internships are designated to the area of organization and realization of art and cultural projects as well as to the support of the artists and the Akademie’s archive. The minimum duration of an internship is three months, the maximum is six months. Interns are assigned independent tasks but also work for colleagues of the Akademie. A workplace with a telephone and Internet connection as well as a computer is provided. An internship at the Akademie Schloss Solitude is generally a full-time position.
Eligibility
Requirements for an application are an attestable interest in cultural topics, especially in contemporary forms of expression in all artistic disciplines, an excellent command of German both spoken and in writing as well as a good knowledge of English both spoken and in writing. During the duration of their internship the interns must be enrolled at a university.
Remuneration
The interns receive an allowance of 500 Euro per month.
