COURSE STRUCTURE

November’10 – June’11

The course is 8-month long and it includes three phases:
1.    Preparatory phase at MAIB (3 months)
2.    Action learning phase in home countries (3.5 months)
3.    Follow-up phase at MAIB (1.5 months)

BENEFICIARIES & ADMISSION PROCEDURES

The course is addressed to individuals with working experience in research, extension, education, development projects, etc. Priority is given to professionals from governmental and non governmental stakeholders.
Participants are selected by MAIB and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, and they are awarded full scholarships. Applications from candidates from Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries are prioritised.
A number of scholarships are available to candidates from other geographical areas, according to the Italian Cooperation development programmes. Applications should be submitted to the Italian Embassies.
Applications from women are encouraged in order to ensure a gender balanced representation in the course.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for students coming from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Macedonia, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, Senegal, Serbia, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen.

Application

Candidates interested in applying can download the Application form and submit it, with the required documentation, to the Italian Embassy in their countries (to the Italian Embassy in Dakar for Mauritania, to the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem for Palestine).
